present the awards.On January 5, 2009 Award winning celebrity Chef Martin Yan hosted the Annual Award Show alongside Theresa Lin, Chinese radio & television show anchor and celebrity, Derek Uehara.This glorious event was held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Other distinguished guest includes Mayor of Las Vegas, Oscar B. Goodman.

Mariyah Moten graduated from University of Houston’s in 2008 with honors from the renowned hotel and restaurant management program at the Conrad N. Hilton College.In addition, to her education she also completed her training in acting at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles.She was also recently crowned Miss Asia International 2nd Runner Up.Other notable pageants include
Miss Tourism Queen International and Miss Bikini of the Universe both in which she represented Pakistan.
In 2006, Mariyah Moten received criticism from Pakistani government officials for using the title Miss Pakistan Bikini.This was the first time a Pakistani girl participated in an international bikini beauty pageant overcoming the traditional barriers of the conservative Islamic nation.Miss Bikini of Universe was held in Beihai, China where she was awarded Miss Press/Best in Media Attention for being the most photographed and interviewed girl in the entire pageant.
This two day gala was filled with activities which included photo shoots, conference, award show, dinners, educational seminars, stage performances, interviews, and other social events.She feels, “this was an exhilarating experience, the Asian community is very cordial and she was honored to be a part of this prestigious event for the second year.” She continues to be an icon for the mainstream South Asian Community.

Both countries being Muslim nations, the government strongly disapproved and banned the beauty queens from entering into their homeland. The Bollywood Music Awards heated up Atlantic City, New Jersey on Saturday November 4th and Miss Pakistan, Mariyah Moten made things even hotter as she presented the award for Best Dance Video. The award was presented to Sona Family for their song Ek Glassy.

Mariyah Moten was born in Karachi, Pakistan ans moved with her family to the US at the age of 5. In 2006 she was crowned Miss Pakistan Tourism, later she went on to represent Pakistan in the Miss Bikini of the Universe Pageant. Mariyah overcame the traditional barriers of the Pakistani culture and won “Best in Media” for being the most photographed and interviewed participant in the pageant.

Mariyah Moten graduates from the New York Film Academy, in Los Angeles. The New York Film Academy is the proud acting school and film school for the Miss Universe, Miss USA and Miss Teen USA Pageants Winners. Some of Hollywood’s greatest filmmakers and film stars have chosen to send their sons and daughters to the Film School & Acting School of the New York Film Academy, including Steven Spielberg, Susan Sarandon, and Kevin Kline to name a few. During her stay in LA, Mariyah worked on various different film project: Alvin and the Chimpmunks, The Mini’s featuring Dennis Rodman, and many different music videos and commercials. Mariyah has also featured on the cover of swim suit calendars and has traveled around the world participating in beauty pageants.

Miss Bikini of the Universe 2006 – Won Miss Press/Best in Media Attention Title (Miss Pakistan Bikini is probably considered the most controversial title to date. Mariyah Moten was banned from entering into her birth nation due to her participation in the Miss Bikini of the Universe pageant representing her Muslim Country of Pakistan.)
Mariyah Moten was born in Karachi, Pakistan. She later moved to the U.S. at the age of 5. Mariyah started her modeling career around the age of 16 when she signed with First Models a local modeling agency in the Houston and Los Angeles area.
Miss Moten started her pageant career when she participated in the Miss Pakistan World pageant held in Canada every year. After placing in the Top 5, Houston-based Mariyah Moten was sent off to represent Pakistan, (Islamic nation), in the Miss Bikini of the Universe pageant. She became the first ever to paticipate in a pageant of this nature, which caused an uproar among the Muslim nation. Mariyah received many death threats and was even banned from entering her own country. Mariyah won Miss Press/Best in Media attention since she was the most interviewed and photographed contestant. Mariyah later went on to participate in the Miss Asia International placing in the Top 3 and also won the Miss Charity title at the Miss Tourism Queen International pageant, representing Pakistan
